Background: GHK-Cu (Copper peptide) is a tiny naturally occurring peptide (sequence: Gly-His-Lys) that binds copper ions. Despite its small size, GHK-Cu has extraordinary regenerative and protective effects on human tissue. It is found in plasma and tissues, especially in youth – levels around 200 ng/mL at age 20 decline to ~80 ng/mL by age 60. GHK-Cu is believed to be an β€œalarm” signal for tissue damage, released after injuries to activate repair processes. Biological actions: GHK-Cu stimulates collagen and glycosaminoglycan synthesis in skin, promotes formation of new blood vessels, and attracts immune cells to sites of injury. It also regulates metalloproteinases and their inhibitors to remodel scar tissue, leading to improved healing with reduced fibrosis. Additionally, GHK has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects, even modulating gene expression on a broad scale – research shows it can up-regulate over 50% of genes related to tissue growth and down-regulate those linked to inflammation and protein breakdown. Clinical evidence: Multiple human studies have confirmed GHK-Cu’s skin benefits. In women with photoaged skin, a 12-week topical GHK-Cu cream significantly increased skin density and thickness, reduced fine lines and wrinkles, and improved overall appearance. Another study showed GHK-Cu cream boosted collagen in 70% of treated subjects, outperforming vitamin C and retinoic acid creams. GHK-Cu has also been tested in wound care, helping chronic wounds heal faster. Its role in hair growth is noted too – it can enlarge hair follicles and increase hair yield. As a cosmetic and therapeutic peptide, GHK-Cu is valued for skin rejuvenation, scar reduction, and anti-aging. It is available in some skincare products and as an injectable in regenerative medicine. Importantly, it’s well-tolerated; being a natural human peptide, adverse effects are minimal. Overall, GHK-Cu β€œturns on” regenerative genes of youth, making it a powerful tool for healing and skin repair.

What is the purity of your peptides?

Our peptides are high-purity, research-grade products. In fact, the vast majority of our peptides have a purity level of 99% or higher (as determined by analytical testing). We ensure this by putting each batch through rigorous purification processes and quality tests. Every batch is analyzed using advanced techniques like HPLC (to measure purity) and Mass Spectrometry (to confirm molecular weight and identity).

We also have independent third-party labs verify the purity to provide an extra layer of confidence. A detailed Certificate of Analysis is maintained for each batch, so you can review the exact purity percentage and test results for your specific vial if needed.

With Stratford Peptides, you can trust that you’re getting some of the purest peptides available on the market, which is crucial for reliable research outcomes.

How are your peptides stored and shipped?

All our peptides are supplied as lyophilized (freeze-dried) powders, which are very stable for shipping.

We store them in optimal conditions (frozen storage) at our facility, and when we ship them to you, they are sealed in airtight vials.

Shipping: We pack orders carefully to ensure the peptides remain stable during transit. Lyophilized peptides can handle normal shipping times without issue – short exposures to ambient temperatures (a few days in shipping) do not significantly affect product integrity. For most orders, we use padded mailers or insulated packaging to protect the vials. If you order a product that is particularly temperature-sensitive, we will include appropriate cooling packs or dry ice in the package as needed. Our goal is to make sure the peptides arrive in perfect condition. Once delivered, you should place the peptides in a freezer for long-term storage (Refrigerate if you plan to use them immediately).

For more guidance on how to handle and store your peptides upon arrival, please refer to our blog or the instructions included with your order.

Do you provide Certificates of Analysis (COA)?

Yes, we provide Certificates of Analysis for our peptide products. A Certificate of Analysis is a document from our quality control lab (or an independent lab) that verifies the identity, purity, and quality of the peptide batch. It includes the results of analytical tests – for example, the HPLC purity percentage, mass spectrometry verification of the molecular weight, and other relevant data.

We maintain a COA for every batch we produce, to ensure transparency and quality assurance. If you would like the COA for a product you purchased, simply contact us or check the product page (in some cases we make them downloadable). The COA lets you see that, say, your peptide is >99% pure and matches the expected formula. This is part of our commitment to providing research, trusted peptides, you don’t have to just take our word for it; the lab results speak for themselves.

Are your peptides synthetic or naturally derived?

All of our peptides are synthetic, meaning they are created by chemical synthesis in a lab. We do not use peptides extracted from animal or human tissues. The synthetic route allows us to produce peptides with precise control over their sequence and purity. In modern peptide science, chemical synthesis is the preferred method for research peptides because it’s efficient and yields highly pure products. By synthesising peptides, we can also incorporate special modifications or create analogues that might not be readily found in nature, which is valuable for research.

In summary, when you purchase from Stratford Peptides, you are getting lab-synthesised peptides that are tailor-made for consistency and quality. This ensures that each batch is reproducible and free from contaminants that could be present in peptides derived from natural sources.
